Our Shelter is dedicated in honor of Navy Lieutenant Junior Grade Kendall Harold Morse. A founding member of the Delta Pi Chapter, LTJG Morse gave his life in service to his country aboard the USS Indianapolis during the final days of World War II. The sinking of the USS Indianapolis remains the greatest loss of life by a single ship in the history of the US Navy.

A proud Delt, LTJG Morse was known for wearing his Delt ring emblazoned with the fraternity crest, a gift from his fraternity brothers. His memory is honored today and forever by a plaque that adorns the shelter.

Semper Fortis.
